- For the purpose of this Section, ``liaison agency" means, in relation to Australia:
- the Australian Taxation Office;
- and in relation to the Netherlands:
- the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (Social Insurance Bank), Amstelveen.

- a) When the legislation of a Party is applicable in accordance with Article 8, paragraph 3 of the Agreement, the Party's liaison agency, at the request of the employed person or the employer of that person, will issue a certificate stating that the employed person or employer with respect to that person is subject to that Party's legislation and stating the duration for which the certificate will be valid.
- b)If an extension as described in Article 9 of the Agreement takes place, the Party's liaison agency will, on request, again issues a certificate of coverage.
- c)The certificates referred to in the previous paragraphs will be the proof that the legislation of a particular Party applies to an employee and/or their employer.

- The liaison agency that has issued a certificate under paragraph 2 of this Section will send a copy of the certificate, or details of the certificate, to the liaison agency of the other Party, as required by the other Party.

- The liaison agencies will be able to communicate direct with each other concerning the operation of Part II, Section A of the Agreement and this Arrangement, and with employers and/or seconded employees to whom Part II, Section A of the Agreement applies.
