- Notwithstanding Article I of this Protocol, Article 4 of the Convention shall continue to be applied as unamended by this Protocol to the person who is in receipt of a benefit on the date of entry into force of this Protocol regarding that benefit, for as long as this person and the child are resident in the same country as on the date of entry into force of this Protocol and for as long as this person continues to fulfill, without interruption, the other conditions for entitlement to the benefit.

- A benefit under the Supplementary Benefits Act of 6 November 1986, received by a person on the day of entry into force of this Protocol, shall be reduced over a period of three years, for as long as the person in receipt of this benefit is resident in the same country on the date of entry into force of this Protocol and for as long as the person continues to fulfil, without interruption,the other conditions for entitlement to the benefit:
- a)in the first year the benefit shall be equal to the benefit this person would receive if he would reside in the Netherlands;
- b)in the second year the benefit shall be 2/3 of the benefit this person would receive if he would reside in the Netherlands;
- c)in the third year the benefit shall be 1/3 of the benefit that this person would receive if he would reside in the Netherlands.

- Notwithstanding Article II of this Protocol, Article 4 of the Convention shall continue to be applied as unamended by this Protocol to the person who is in receipt of a benefit on the date of entry into force of this Protocol regarding that benefit, for as long as this person is resident in the same country as on the date of entry into force of this Protocol is and for as long as this person continues to fulfill, without interruption, the other conditions for entitlement to the benefit.
