EMBASSY OF THE KINGDOM OF ...

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands presents its compliments to the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines and has the honour to refer to the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines of 8 May 1969, as revised at Manila on 23 December 2009. The Embassy has the further honour to propose to replace Articles III a) of the Annex to the Air Transport Agreement as follows:

Article III a)

Points not covered under the Routes under Annex 1 and Annex II respectively, as amended, may be served on flights operating to or through the territory of the other Contracting Party. However, local traffic rights between such points and the territory of the other Contracting Party shall be the subject of prior consultations.

If the foregoing amendment is acceptable to the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, it is proposed, in accordance with Article XIII of the Agreement, that this Note and the Department’s Note in reply shall be regarded as constituting an agreement between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Republic of the Philippines, which shall enter into force on the date of the Department’s Note in reply.
